A Life Well Spent

15 Jul

“What do you do in your free time?” she asked me as I sat in the radio studio.

“I have no free time,” I chuckled. It was true. My moments are spent in increasing my faith and that takes all of my time. Prayer, spending time with God, and seeking His wisdom.

I reflected upon this question. Could I or would I want to spend my time in any other way? Learning more about God is my life’s purpose and goal.

It is through the quiet morning dawn that I pray, read His word and study. It is during these times that I find my strength and it is truly a life well spent. I would not have my life any other way. I spent the majority of my life without God and it was empty and futile. Now, I feel His presence and His peace. It is when I feel that I am in His perfect will that I can face my life knowing that victory is on the horizon.

As we finished the radio program, the interviewer asked me if there was anything that I wanted to include, and it was then that I grabbed the opportunity to share about my LORD and Savior. True success is knowing that I have a destiny and a plan and I am living that plan.
