What a Journey

26 Aug

It is hard to get away from a farm, especially in the summer. Instructors and trainers to set up, caretaker needed for the house to watch our four huge dogs, and someone to feed and care for the horses and barn cats. Once I found all the designated people, my husband reconnected on a beautiful vacation to Maine.

We flew into Bangor, Maine. Picked up a car and off to Camden, Bangor, Acadia National Park, then up to St. John, Canada and ferry to Nova Scotia. It was beautiful, painstakingly quiet, and cool.

I fell in love with the cool air, tranquility, slower pace, and kindness of the people. Like an onion, I peeled off the stress and worry. After all, I could not be reached, my cell phone had no reception.

Have you ever gone to such a beautiful place? Please share.
